The Murabiyoon Games

Get ready to relive the excitement of the Murabiyoon Games!

On July 9th and 10th, 2024, the Birmingham Youth Sports Academy was buzzing with energy as 330 students from across the Midlands gathered for an epic three-day event. The Murabiyoon Games delivered a whirlwind of sporting fun and competition, with a dazzling array of activities that had everyone on their toes.

From a thrilling 7-a-side football tournament for boys to an incredible mix of sports including tennis, rugby, netball, flag football, squash, golf, archery, cycling, and gymnastics for both boys and girls—there was something for everyone. The teachers and educators were amazed by the diverse lineup and how much the students enjoyed every minute of it!

In partnership with the English Schools Football Association, London and Birmingham hosted the Murabiyoon Football Festival, and it was a competition to remember. At the secondary school level, Madani Boys School Leicester pulled off a stunning victory with a clean sweep. The U13’s saw an edge-of-your-seat penalty shootout, with Al Aqsa School clinching the win in a dramatic finale.

A huge congratulations to all our winners, and a massive thank you to our sporting partners, students, teachers, venue hosts, and volunteers who made this inaugural event such a smashing success. What a day it was—full of excitement, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments!
